For the guitar scene, the lights were created by rendering out an alpha channel from MAYA as an .exr file. Using the Z-depth pass to create a gradient falloff. It was then colored using two color switches to create the necessary overlap and animated to match the red and blue strobe lights. The background was color corrected to match the Live action plate in real time. Speaking of the background, I had to matchmove the scene in MAYA and animate the camera by hand because the trackers weren't creating the necessary parallax. So, I had to imagine how the camera would have moved, and go into the Graph editor and set the keys to create a natural camera movement inside of MAYA. Last but not least, the fog is created by using a VOXEL and scaling the texture up a bit to create and alpha channel in MAYA, rendered out the frames and COMP'ed together in NUKE.
